An Open Letter to Every American Citizen
Christmas Eve, 2015, I had a strange dream. A short, bearded wizard paced back and forth on stage like it was a TED Talk. Except a double-take of the audience dashed that notion.
In the auditorium, a thousand orbs of light hovered over what may have been seats. The speaker identified himself as Sam, the Elf. Of course, he had no need to explain to his audience who clearly already knew. Sam, was not his name, but rather his title.
As I later came to learn, it stood for Spiritual America Minister, which was the lead position of the Spiritual America Ministry. This made complete sense in Everly, where Souls all dwell in eternal peace and tranquility. But down here in TempTerra, a more relatable title would be helpful. Sam chose his own moniker: Sam, the Soul of America. However, among his fellow souls, he preferred the much more humble Sam, the Elf.
That first dream came and went without much further thought from me. Until, that is, I had another Sam, the Elf visit in the early morning hours. This time he was talking about something called Spiritual Equilibrium. I Googled the term and came up dry. Same with Wikipedia. So once again, I let the dream fade away. Although, I did make a few notes on my computer.

Two mornings later, a third visitation. This time, he was lamenting the sad state of affairs in America. He and his audience of fellow souls well understood America’s leadership role in the spread of Democracy throughout Humanity. His fear, and theirs, could not be understated: America was about to go the way of so many other hopeful democracies over the eons — or, I should say, the Representative Government of America was about to dissipate.
If only Mankind could remember this one simple Truth, then perhaps they would conduct themselves differently. They would remember that this world, TempTerra, is but a temporary terrain. Anything that mortals might acquire here has no lasting value. If only they could be reminded of their main purpose in being here. It is simply this: Spread Love. That is the entire mission.
I direct this message to you — who is scrolling this page. You, dear American, who has but hours to cast a vote in the 2024 election!
When your physical days are up, and your bodies is laid to rest, the RealYou (your Soul) will return to Everly. And there, in Everly, the RealYou will be asked to defend a lifetime of Choices. Each choice that you have made — from the most petty to the most consequential — presented an opportunity to Spread Love. Did you make that choice? Or … did you approach life with a transactional mindset driven by only one question: what’s in it for me?
Did you let the thought that Everly awaits, escape you? Did you foolishly think that the Game of Life was to acquire as much as one can while here? Did you indeed sell your Soul just to gain a few meaningless trinkets? “Survival of the fittest,” Sam told me, “is the greatest misconception and delusion in the history of Man. You are a Soul! You are made from God’s Essence. You have Divinity in your veins. How much more fit could you ever be? And more to the point, how could TempTerra ever give that to you?
America is on the verge of extinction, Sam told the audience. “The only hope for its salvation,” Sam said, “is through the ballot box. As a Representative Government, America works just fine. Its leadership precisely matches its constituents. American Government is split down the middle because Americans are split down the middle.”
Then he pitched his idea. “We need to save America from itself. Through the ballot box. Patriots rightly seek to make America great again. Except, they (and likely, you) have a warped idea of what constitutes greatness. For most, it comes down to a strong economy and an even stronger military. But that is not how America is viewed in Everly.
Greatness can only be defined in terms of every mortal’s singular assignment: Spreading Love. When America, as a collective whole, spreads love around the world — and most especially within its own shores — then it is at its greatest! So perhaps the slogan ought to be: Make America Generous Again!”
In your hands is a book some 20 years in the making. It came about through the dedication of a handful of chosen Souls, who were tasked with finding a way to reach Americans — not just in their eyes and ears, not even in their hearts. But in their souls!
I write this Open Letter to every American who has yet to vote in the 2024 Presidential Election. There is still time for you to make a difference. Not just for the salvation of the great Spiritual America Model … but for your own salvation. There will come a time when you will have to defend your priorities while here in TempTerra.
What will you say when you are reminded, in Everly, that the Soul of Humanity itself was America! And the Soul of America is but the collective will of all of the individual Souls that dwell in America. That includes You — the RealYou, which is a Soul and not a bag of bones and flesh trying to accumulate material possessions — while simultaneously wrestling those items away from others.
If any of what I am saying stirs feelings within you, then I implore you to take some time this weekend to read this book. If you are short on time, then read only the Ten Graces (Part IV). But if you have a little more time and wish to at last get answers to lifelong questions — like, why am I here?, or why do bad things happen to good people? — then find the time to read Part II.
And if you really cannot spare more than two minutes to understand what this entire worldly experience is all about, then simply read the lyrics to the song, Alfie. Here it is:
What’s it all about, Alfie? Is it just for the moment we live?
What’s it all about, when you sort it out, Alfie? Are we meant to take more than we give?
Or, are we meant to be kind?
And if ‘only fools are kind’, Alfie — then I guess it is wise to be cruel.
And if life belongs only to the strong, Alfie,
then what will you lend on an old Golden Rule?
As sure as I believe there’s a heaven above, Alfie,
I know there’s something much more..
Something even non-believers can believe in.
I believe in Love, Alfie!
Without true love, we just exist, Alfie.
Until you find the Love you’ve missed .. you’re nothing, Alfie
When you walk, let your heart lead the way,
And you’ll find Love any day, Alfie
I send this letter with love in my Heart and hope in my Soul that you will vote. And that, when you do, you will Vote From Your Soul, which knows only Love, never fear. Send to Washington those who represent you! If you do not like dysfunctional government, then send candidates who have lived a life of open-minded compromise. Candidates who love their country — and the blessings of Democracy — so much that they have put partisan passions aside. Candidates who view public service as an honor, not merely a gifted privilege to be protected at all costs.
Finally, if you have no more than 10 minutes, then watch the video to the right.
These are the various ways I have to reach you in these final hours. I pray that you will spend them wisely, lovingly. You want to know the measure of a Man — study his priorities. What are yours this weekend?
With hopes and prayers in my heart,
B. Liever
